What this is

Before a house gets built in Belize, somebody has to draw it properly. That is the whole job here — the drawings, and what they will cost you to build.

The drawings

Not a sketch. A set.

Every floor drawn to scale, plus the foundation, the roof and the site — boundaries, roads, water and waste lines. Formatted the way the Central Building Authority wants them so your permit isn't sent back.

What CAD means

Drawn on a computer.

Not a drawing board. Changes don't mean starting over, the set prints at any size, and it reaches you as a PDF by email — which is why being overseas or in another district changes nothing about the job.

The estimate

What it costs to build.

The quantities counted straight off those drawings — block, steel, cement, roofing, doors, labour. A real number for the bank and for holding your contractor to, instead of a guess.
